Overview

The Sailfin Snapper (Symphorichthys spilurus) is a distinctively colored marine fish native to the tropical waters of the Indo-Pacific. As the only member of its genus, it is easily recognized by its elongated fin filaments and vibrant striped pattern, typically found patrolling sandy areas near coral reefs.
